In 2005, Mike Smith and Brad Ellender met while working as superintendents for one of the largest home-builders in the U.S., overseeing residential construction projects and learning firsthand what separates a well-built home from one that just looks good on the surface.

When the downturn of the economy hit in 2008, the market shifted, and they were forced to move their career paths in different directions—but their friendship remained strong and they stayed connected.

Mike built a construction company focused on residential remodels and custom home new construction. Brad remained a trusted resource, referring clients and staying close to the work. Over time, they saw a larger opportunity and reunited—this time focused on the multi-family construction space.

Together, they built something substantial.
